TERRITORIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I am a Treaty 1 born citizen and have lived on Treaty 1 & Treaty 2 lands in or near Brandon, Minnedosa, Neepawa and Winnipeg, which are located on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Assiniboine, Dakota, and Dene Nations, and the 

Homeland of the Métis Nation. 

When I was a child, I chased chickens at powwows and ate bannock at school with many Indigenous Brothers and Sisters. 

To this day and to my last day, I will still consider them to be my Brothers and Sisters. 

When they bleed, I bleed. When they sing, I sing. 

Thank you for the Privilege of learning to love this Sacred Land and its original Peoples, and for the Honour of living among the Spirits of your Ancestors.
